On Equal Ground ("OEG", "we", "us", or "our") is the company behind the Granite platform. Our website is located at oneequalground.com. You can contact us at hello@oneequalground.com.
Granite is a humanitarian data platform that provides:
Collectively, these are referred to as the "Services".
By accessing or using any of the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services. In jurisdictions where the legal age is higher, the applicable local age limit applies. Individuals under this age may only use the Services through an authorised guardian or registered household member.
Access to organisational features of Granite requires a valid organisational account, which may be subject to a separate agreement between your organisation and OEG.
When you register as an individual beneficiary, Granite assigns you a Unique Beneficiary Identifier (UBID) — a permanent, portable identifier in the format OEG-{COUNTRY}-{YEAR}-{8CHAR}. Your UBID is yours for life and follows you across organisations and borders.
If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@oneequalground.com.
Granite is built on a consent-first model. You control which organisations can access which fields of your profile. In particular:
The Granite app allows you to register one or more emergency contacts — individuals you designate to be reached in the event of an emergency affecting you.
By adding an emergency contact, you explicitly authorise On Equal Ground and partner organisations operating on the Granite platform to contact that individual if we receive credible information suggesting an emergency involving your safety, wellbeing, or whereabouts.
Emergency contact information is stored securely, is not shared with organisations for general service delivery purposes, and is only used for the emergency communication purpose described above. See our Privacy Policy for details on how this data is handled.
You are responsible for obtaining the consent of any person you register as an emergency contact before doing so. By adding a contact, you represent that this consent has been given.
You agree not to use the Services to:
The Services, including all software, design, trademarks, and content provided by OEG, remain the exclusive property of On Equal Ground. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for their intended purpose.
You retain ownership of the personal data you provide to the Services. OEG's rights to that data are limited to those described in the Privacy Policy.
We aim to provide the Services continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice.
We will endeavour to provide reasonable advance notice of significant changes that materially affect your rights or the handling of your data.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OEG and its founders, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
OEG's total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the greater of (i) the amount you paid OEG in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (ii) USD 100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits OEG's liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which On Equal Ground is incorporated. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or an in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Services after that period constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
The current effective date of these Terms is noted at the top of this page.
